New term update: projects & ITS World Congress
We are back from the holiday season, very motivated with the challenges that we will face during the last months of the year.
Our first event, this next week, is the ITS World Congress in Copenhagen, the annual tradeshow that promotes Intelligent Transport System technologies. The main objective for our participation is to get a broad exposure to Nordic companies and institutions related to the transport field.
We are attending this tradeshow in collaboration and thanks to the help provided by ACCIO, a Catalan Government’s agency that promotes innovation, internationalization, trade and funding of Catalan companies and startups. For the ITSWC we are presenting Cigo!Fleet, our Smart Mobility management solution which has a strong transport orientation. We also intend to expand our horizons, getting to know the latest developments in the Smart Cities and Smart Mobility sector. Another goal for this edition is expanding our contact portfolio knowing new companies for future collaborations in the fields of: consultancies, tracking systems, software developers, detection systems … while not losing the main Smart Mobility topic for the projects.

Talking about tradeshows, in the upcoming months we will also be part of two of the most important congresses in the technological sector. The IoT Solutions World Congress, held in Barcelona from October 16 to 18, will show the latest advances in the field of the Internet of Things, and as a novelty, this year will add a new forum on artificial intelligence. The Smart City Expo World Congress, Barcelona November 13-15, is the main international event about smart cities, which brings together in one place municipal representatives, institutions, academic and leaders, research centers, companies and entrepreneurs of the sector.

Projects
Besides the organization of the participation to the former events, in Cigo! we are currently immersed in different interesting projects that will be able to give further details during the last quarter of the year.
One of the most exciting projects is helping companies to develop innovative applications for the moto/bike-sharing sector. This tool which creates efficient routes for maintenance crews. The main challenge with motos, as opposite to bikes, in this type of problems is that the motos don’t have a fixed position or stations in the city.
Another of the projects we are currently working on is based on developing a customized algorithm for assigning orders on the go, for a sector that is booming and which we talked about in our last post.
Thus, we expect an exciting and busy end of the year, always with the aim of providing the world of Smart Mobility with the latest technologies in route optimization software solutions and intelligent mobility algorithms.
